Nursery Life
Children arrive excited at the prospect of the day ahead and of playing with their friends. Breakfast is offered to children before they begin the adventures of nursery life.
The younger children are introduced to colourful, messy and stimulating play activities. The older children are supported in becoming confident, competent and independent thinkers as they move freely around the areas of interest fuelling their natural curiosity and allowing them to choose their activities. The children are then offered a specific task/challenge to specifically target an area of development from enhancing fine motor skills, to developing language and mathematical skills.
They have a story time and a music session, before their lunch.
Children who have attended school/cylch during the morning arrive full of enthusiasm and stories from their busy mornings. They are given time to discuss their thoughts and encouraged and supported to dress ready for the afternoon’s activities.
Lunch is served around mid-day children and staff eat together.
Whilst the younger children sleep the older children may go for a walk around the local amenities or offered new experiences at the nursery. The children will then share their experiences in a circle time, which encourages discussion and understating of the world around them.
The younger children wake revitalised and ready to venture into some exciting activities. They learn to explore, construct, discover, create, imagine and use all their senses within the specially designed areas of the nursery.
The garden is an extension of the nursery and is used throughout the day in all weathers; this will often result in muddy children!!
Children enjoy preparing their own tea and afterward take part in calming activities, such as looking at books, table games, jigsaws, and garden play. It’s then time to say goodbye and catch up with families on the day’s events.
At Si-lwli we encourage group trips for all the children to enjoy at places such as the library, park, a farm, and the theatre.
The aim of the day is to have FUN, FUN and more FUN!!!
Mae’r plant yn cyrraedd yn llawn hwyl a disgwyliadau ar gyfer y diwrnod sydd o’u blaenau ac yn edrych ymlaen at gael chwarae gyda’i ffrindiau. Mae pawb sydd eisiau brecwast yn ei gael ac yna’n dechrau ar anturiaethau bywyd y feithrinfa. Mae’r plant ieuengaf yn cael eu cyflwyno i weithgareddau chwarae lliwgar a llawn symbyliaeth, tra bo’r plant hŷn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau grŵp sy’n datblygu dewis eang o fedrau – yn amrywio o wella mân-sgiliau trin a symud, i ddatblygu iaith ac ymwybyddiaeth fathemategol. Mae’r plant yn cael amser stori ac amser chwarae rhydd yn yr awyr agored cyn cinio.
Mae’r plant sydd wedi mynychu ysgol/cylch yn yn cyrraedd nol i Silwli yn llawn brwdfrydech a straeon y bore. Ar ol cyrraedd nol maent yn derbyn amser i son am ei hanes a wedyn yn derbyn cefnogaeth i wisgo cyn cymryd rhan mewn wiethgareddau y prynhawn.
Mae amser cinio o gwmpas hanner Dydd ac mae’r staff a’r plant yn bwyta gyda’i gilydd.
Yn ystod cyfnod cwsg y plant ieuengaf bydd y plant hŷn efallai’n mynd am dro. Wedi dychwelyd bydd y plant yn rhannu profiadau mewn sesiwn gylch, ac mae hyn yn hybu eu Gwybodaeth a’u Dealltwriaeth o’r Byd.
Mae’r plant ieuengaf yn deffro’n llawn bywyd unwaith eto ac yn barod i fentro ar nifer o weithgareddau cyffrous. Maen nhw’n dysgu chwilio, adeiladu, darganfod, creu a dychmygu ac i ddefnyddio’u synhwyrau i gyd mewn rhannau pwrpasol o’r feithrinfa. Mae’r ardd yn estyniad o’r feithrinfa ac yn cael ei ddefnyddio drwy gydol y dydd, ac ymhob tywydd, ac mae’r hwyl yn gallu bod yn fwdlyd!!
Bydd y plant yn paratoi te bach iddyn nhw eu hunain ac wedyn yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau tawelu megis edrych ar lyfrau, gemau bwrdd, jig-sos a chwarae yn yr ardd. Yna mae hi’n amser i ffarwelio a dal i fyny â newyddion a digwyddiadau’r teulu.
Yma yn Si-lwli mi fyddwn ni’n cynnal tripiau grŵp fel bod y plant i gyd yn cael mwynhau mynd i lefydd megis y llyfrgell a’r parc, i fferm a’r theatr.
