Si-Lwli Nursery in Cardiff have entered to win the NDNA Nursery of the Year Award.

“We just love Si Lwli and, most importantly, our son absolutely loves going there. We feel part of a family, where everyone is accepted and welcome and we have always felt safe in the knowledge that the nursery and the wonderful aunties will care for our son in the best possible way. He asks to go there on weekends and during holidays! He’s very attached to the aunties and I can’t believe how much he has learnt since starting there. When looking for childcare, we wanted somewhere safe to leave our son while we worked. But we’ve ended up with something so much bigger and better than that – an environment where our son is free to explore and learn, has made firm friends and all through the medium of Welsh which is so important to us. The staff are amazing, flexible and are always ready to listen to us – they fully deserve to be awarded for their efforts!”
“My 3 three year old son has been coming to this nursery for almost 2 years and he loves it! My son has a hearing impairment and wears hearing aids. Not only do the staff help with this and accept it totally, they embrace it – even by learning some BSL and teaching the other children – it is totally inclusive. He has truly blossomed under their care.”

“The staff, the ‘Anti’s’, are amazing, they are so welcoming and have a special connection to the children, its a very inclusive environment. My daughter has loved it here from day one. They have lots of outdoor play, go for walks, learning all the time. They make amazing animated videos which you can watch to know what your child is doing. The communication is great, you feel very informed as a parent. My son went to a different nursery so I have something to compare to. What I like about SiLwli is it leaves you feeling warm and happy. The girls put so much effort into nurturing the children into being well rounded, independent individuals. To see the children all sat up the stairs, like the Von Trapp family, singing Christmas carols was gorgeous.”
